Where does the time go???

I honestly meant to do a Christmas or New Years post but I never did get around to doing it. It has just been a whirlwind as of late. I honestly mean it when I say I really do not know where the time goes. I look at Ryder and I can't believe he is four years old. My favorite thing to do is to have conversations with him. I love listening to him talk and seeing his personality. He is such a smart fun boy. He loves to learn about animals--they have been teaching him about the different animals in pre-school. Rick enjoys watching the show Africa and it is his & Ryder's thing to do together. It is funny because Ryder knows all about Africa & the different animals. It makes me content to know that Rick teaches Ryder all about the different things in the world and that Ryder enjoys it.
It seems that we have just been busy with life in general. I get to have my niece and nephew stay with us from time to time and I love it. I look at them and it is my prayer that they will always remember & know how much I love them. Ryder is always asking for me to go get them.
My heart still yearns for another child and it is my wish that I could have one this year. I will have to admit that as busy as I am I put it in the back of my mind but then something unexpected will happen and I experience that heart ache all over again. Ryder asked me the other night if he could have a baby sister. What do I say to that???
It is silly to me that the older we get the more thankful we are for our families. One would think you should always feel that way. Rick and I both come from big families and what a blessing that is. It seems we always have some family stuff going on. I get all excited when my parents come for the weekend. My family is the world to me and I feel so protective towards them.
I am enjoying my new calling in church--it keeps me very busy.
I am going to do a better job about taking pictures and posting more. We are doing well and most importantly we are healthy and happy.
